HERE TO HELP!
My office hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm
Friday: 8 am – 1pm
The process begins with a parent consultation to understand your child’s background and needs.
Assessments are done over one or more sessions in a supportive environment. You will receive a detailed report outlining:
Key findings, strengths and areas of difficulty, practical recommendations for home and school, guidance on accommodations where needed.
A feedback session is included to discuss results and next steps.
The overall aim of therapy is usually to bring about improved functioning and personal growth in the long term.
To set up an appointment, you can either call me on 061 102 9313 or send me an email on janet.byrnes@lantic.net.
Later sessions can be made by prior arrangements.
The duration of each session is usually about 50 – 60 minutes.
Consultation fees are charged within the scale of benefits recommended by the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA).
Should you prefer to pay cash, the money must please be brought to the first appointment and thereafter payment can be made via EFT.
Should you not be able to keep an appointment you must please cancel it. If you fail to do so more than 24 hours in advance, the person responsible for the payment of the account will be held liable for payment of the full amount for the session.
Please note that appointments falling under this category are not covered by medical aid and cannot be claimed for. It does, however, remain your responsibility to settle this consultation fee within a month of the appointment.
Should you be late for a session without making an arrangement timeously, the relevant session will be shorter. Late arrivals, 15 minutes or more into the session, will constitute a missed session which will be charged for at full rates.
